In 2006, the City of Ouray partnered with the Town of Ridgway and Ouray County to apply for grant money from the Department of Local Affairs to hire a consulting firm to conduct a Housing Needs Assessment. This study is required to not only assist our community in determining needs and planning for the future, but it is also a necessary process to be eligible to apply for State and Federal funding assistance for projects. The study has been completed and is now available for review. The City Council will be working with staff to determine the appropriate steps to take next. In addition, the City will be working with the newly formed Ouray County Housing Authority to develop projects and solutions for the community.
