Water Outage at Whispering Pines and Panoramic Heights

Water outage today from 10:00 AM until about noon for *Whispering Pines and Panoramic Heights for work at the wastewater plant. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and for the short notice as a live tap turned out not to be possible.

*We do apologize for the short notice. However, our Ouray Volunteer Fire Department has verified that there are no burns scheduled around Ouray or County Road 14. If you are planning to burn within the next couple hours please contact WestCo dispatch at 970-252-4010. Fire Chief Kunz had a Captain drive the area to double-check that there were no burns in the affected areas. If there were, the Captain was to notify them of the outage. For emergency purposes, we also have plans in place, in case of a fire, to access water from other resources.

Ouray County has received word from the Private Contractor that the Blasting at 400 Queen Street near Ouray will be delayed until next week and will not happen at 4pm tomorrow (4/25/2024). This is due to a systemic study being completed at the site. 

Blasting is still scheduled at 4pm on each day Monday through Thursday (4/29 - 5/2) next week. Please stay clear of the area around the times of scheduled blasting. City of Ouray - On Tuesday, Feb. 20 traffic stops will take place on Main Street (Hwy 550) between 3rd Ave. and 8th Ave. for no longer than 10-minute holds, between 6 am and 10 am.
