«GreetingLine»

This letter is to inform you of a service change for your waste and recycle services. On February 5, 2024, Bruin Waste Management was awarded the City of Ouray Service Contract. We are excited to finally be your service provider.

The week of March 25th we will be delivering your new waste and recycle containers. One 64-gallon cart for waste and one 18-gallon bin for recycle. We collect recycle as single stream. All products in one bin. Please break down cardboard boxes and place flat under your bin if needed.

Your new service day will be Thursday, please have your containers out by 7am. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to call.

We look forward to being your new service provider. At Bruin Waste we put safety and service first.

UPDATE:
Thursday, March 21, 2024, 1:00 PM

You may have recently received a letter from Bruin Waste regarding a rate increase. This was not meant for City of Ouray residential customers. Please see the attached letter. We have included the verbiage below:
Dearest Customer,

It was recently brought to our attention that you may have received a letter regarding an annual price increase from Bruin Waste Management.
While we are increasing our rates for commercial and direct customers, this increase does not affect those within the newly awarded City of Ouray Residential Contract.
Please disregard the notice of rate increase. This letter was automatically generated and sent to all the entirety of our customers by mistake. We will be sure to take extra steps in the future to avoid this happening again. We sincerely apologize for any confusion we may have caused.
Please do not hesitate to call our office if you have any questions.
Again, we apologize for the confusion.

Best Regards,
The Staff at Bruin Waste Management

Hooray for no lapse in service

We understand this change may be difficult logistically, especially for those not in town currently. Once the contract was finalized we began trying our best to provide details/updates as soon as we received confirmations. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We also may need your help, or rather your neighbor may need your help. In case they aren’t here, or on the social pages or checking our website or their email —- If your neighbor is gone during this time and you are helping watch their place would you please also help them get rid of their old WM receptacles and then bring in their new Bruin trash and recycling bins? You would win the Best Neighbor Award! Take a selfie of your good deed, #WhoSwapsBinsTheBest and we will feature you with a gold star! ⭐️
